Install Java

No Java installed? No problem — DSL Pro bundles JDK 17/21/25/26 and auto-installs them.

Each version shows the Minecraft versions it supports. You can also use system Java or pick a local java.exe manually.

Server Settings

Set name, difficulty, max players, ports and RCON. RCON port and password are required.

If a port is already in use, a dialog will ask you to change it. Advanced options include memory, game mode and online-mode. Click "Finish Config" to prestart.

Prestart & Launch

Prestart checks the environment, downloads the core, verifies ports and generates the world automatically.

After success you'll see the server name, game port, RCON port and server ID, and can jump to the console for full logs.

Pick the right Java version

One-Sentence Choice

Use Java 21/25/26 for Minecraft 1.21+. When unsure, Java 21 (LTS) is the safest pick.

Java must match your Minecraft version or the server won't start. DSL Pro downloads and installs it for you.

Java 26/25/21 for 1.21+, Java 17 for 1.18–1.20.4, Java 8 for 1.12–1.17.

The "Install Java" step shows the matching Minecraft range for each version. Java 8 needs a system installer — just click "Run Installer" after downloading.

FAQ

If "no Java detected" appears, click Download for a version; restart the app if it still isn't detected.

You can also choose "Use System Java" to auto-detect PATH Java, or "Choose Custom Java" to point to a java.exe manually.

Vanilla vs Paper vs Purpur vs Fabric

One-Sentence Difference

Vanilla = pure official server; Paper/Purpur = plugin servers; Fabric = mod server; Forge is not supported yet.

DSL Pro can use third-party tunneling services like OpenFRP when you need more nodes or routes.

Notes

Stability and speed depend on the provider, and DSL doesn't offer support for third-party services.

The built-in official FRP service is recommended; keep your server secure when using third-party tunnels.

Colors, backgrounds and appearance

One-Sentence Overview

Switch between pure black, pure white or custom colors, and set an image or video as a full-window background.

Backgrounds fill the entire window. Videos loop up to 30 seconds (a crop dialog appears if longer), with base colors (black/transparent/white) and 0–30px blur. Settings are saved locally and persist across launches.

Tip

Solid colors and backgrounds are mutually exclusive — enabling a background disables solid color buttons.

Text colors adapt automatically to keep the interface readable.

Create and launch a server in 5 steps

One-Sentence Start

Choose core → install Java → pick version → configure → prestart. A few clicks and your server is up.

Open "Quick Start" in the sidebar and follow the 5-step wizard. Cores and Java are downloaded automatically — no commands needed.
